Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for the position of Trainee Engineer, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Qualification:
    • B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Engineering with specializations including Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Telecommunication, Communication, Mechanical, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Science, and Information Technology.

  2. Age Limit as on 01.02.2024:
    • For BE/B.TECH: Upper age limit is 28 years.
    • For ME/M.TECH: Upper age limit is 30 years.
    • Relaxation in upper age limit:
      • OBC (NCL): 3 years
      • SC/ST: 5 years
      • PwBD candidates: 10 years (in addition to relaxation applicable to OBC (NCL)/SC/ST candidates).
  3. Period of Contract:
    • Trainee Engineer-I (TE): Initially for a period of Two (2) Years from the date of joining, extendable up to a maximum of One more year (Maximum tenure of 3 years including the initial period) based on project progress and candidate’s performance.
  4. Remuneration:
    • Trainee Engineer-I:
      • Rs. 30,000/- per month for the 1st Year of engagement.
      • Rs. 35,000/- per month for the 2nd year.
      • Rs. 40,000/- per month for the 3rd year.
  5. Experience as on 01.02.2024:
    • Preferably, trainee engineers with experience in providing IT support (PC maintenance, Network switch, and associated software hands-on experience), especially as site IT Engineers.
    • Proficiency in English and Hindi/Regional Language is desirable.

As a Trainee Engineer (TE) at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), you will play a crucial role in providing hardware, software, and coordination support for all IT equipment across various CBIC locations. Your responsibilities encompass a wide range of activities aimed at ensuring the smooth functioning of IT infrastructure and enhancing overall operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Hardware and Software Support:
    • Provide daily hardware and software support for all installed IT infrastructure at CBIC locations.
    • Coordinate with third-party hardware vendors for call logging and resolution, including follow-up for spares and replacement.
    • Assist in the installation of applications and software within the project scope.
  2. Preventive Maintenance and Monitoring:
    • Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure the health and functionality of all IT infrastructure.
    • Assist in site audits and provide necessary IT hardware training.
    • Log and report security violations and deliberate attempts to tamper with or damage hardware.
  3. Coordination and Reporting:
    • Regularly interact with project nodal officers and the customer central team to maintain the site issue log and facilitate resolution.
