General Instructions for Applicants – Indian Statistical Institute Recruitment 2024:

Here are the general instructions applicants need to keep in mind while applying for various positions at the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) in 2024:

1. Citizenship Requirement: Applicants must be citizens of India.
2. Eligibility Criteria: Ensure that you satisfy all eligibility criteria for the position you’re applying for by the closing date of applications. Failure to meet the criteria will result in rejection of your application.
3. Application Fee: Pay the non-refundable application fee via electronic transfer (NEFT/IMPS) to the specified bank account. The fee structure varies based on the applicant’s category as follows:
   • General/EWS/OBC: ₹500/-
   • SC/ST: ₹250/-
   • Women/PwBD: Nil
4. Payment Details: Mention the transaction number and date of application fee payment in the respective column of the application format. Enclose a copy of the payment receipt with your application form.
5. Travel Expenses: Candidates eligible for written test/trade test will be reimbursed to and fro train fare by the shortest route in Second Class/Sleeper Class upon submission of valid tickets.
6. Selection Process: In case of any inadvertent error in the selection process, the Institute reserves the right to modify, withdraw, or cancel any communication made to the applicants.
7. Document Verification: The Institute will verify documents, as well as the character and antecedents of candidates, at the time of appointment or during the tenure of service. Any discrepancy found may result in termination of services.
8. Pension Scheme: Candidates selected through direct recruitment will be governed by the provisions of the New Pension Scheme introduced by the Government of India from 01.01.2004.
9. Government/Public Sector Undertakings Employees: Applicants from these sectors must apply through proper channel or submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of appearing for the test.
10. Application Submission: Send the filled-in application form along with self-attested copies of certificates to the specified address via SPEED POST/REGISTERED POST before the closing date. Late/incomplete applications will not be considered. Last Date :- 16.04.2024
11. Shortlisting Criteria: Mere possession of essential qualifications doesn’t guarantee eligibility. Shortlisted candidates for written test and trade test will be based on the screening committee’s decision.
12. Educational Qualifications and Experience: All qualifications should be acquired from recognized boards/universities/institutes. Only post-qualification experience will be considered.
13. Application Format: Applicants must use the prescribed application format available on the Institute’s website. Applications submitted in any other format will be rejected.
