With its Corporate Office situated in Mumbai, IREL (India) Limited operates Atomic Mineral Mining and Mineral Separation Plants across multiple locations including Chavara (Kerala), Manavalakurichi (Tamil Nadu), and Orissa Sands Complex (OSCOM) in Odisha. These plants specialize in producing various critical minerals such as Ilmenite, Rutile, Zircon, Sillimanite, and Garnet, among others.

IREL has also pioneered the establishment of a Rare Earths Extraction Plant (REEP) in Odisha, capable of producing approximately 11,000 tons of Rare Earth Concentrate. Additionally, the company boasts a High Pure Rare Earths (HPRE) plant at RED, Aluva, dedicated to producing individual Rare Earth Oxide/Carbonates. Collaborating with the Industrial Development Corporation of Odisha Limited, IREL is in the process of setting up a new Atomic Mineral mining and mineral separation plant in Ganjam District, Odisha.
